Vergessenes Märchenschloss / Forgotten fairy-tale castle
Easter was a little bit spoiled by rain in Berlin, but after my last wandering I downloaded the topographic map of the region, and now I was curious. So I didn't care about the weather.

Because I didn't know where we will end, but afterwards I would say, exactly like this could be a way to a fairy-tale castle ...
Es wird seltsam: Was schimmert da durch die Bäume Isn't that odd what shimmers through the trees? |

I have learned to take 'serious' breaks. Formerly I walked and walked for hours, eventually I get tired and all fun was gone. But with the help of Pepe's backpack I take lunch with me and look for suitable places for a break that fits for all of us. What I still have to learn is to sit down during the break.

Yuck! |
And what about the fairy-tale castle? A few steps after this sights it changed equally as this eerie buildings appeared. They weren't just abandoned, but - see the swing - it looked as if temporary (after the fall of the Berlin wall?) this region was occupied. Besides I heard voices and as if someone was playing soccer. I didn't see anything and the noises were vague and it had been also possible that I just was able to hear into the spooky past.Märchenschloss, etwas heruntergekommen Fairy-tale castle, slightly rundown |

I wanted to circuit the pond and then go back home. But my Ponys had thought about some fun for themselves. I was surprised and liked the individual engagement. Although it was a real mess afterwards!

Yeah, the backpack. I was just too late. Afterwards rolling was the program, of course. I just caught the backpack from Pepe and put it on again later. Please note: Put a

On our way back a very dark cloud overtook us and then it was a mixture of hail, sleet and damp snow.
At the end of our tour the dark cloud overtook us, but I think it didn't look so dramatically as it felt. The next one appeared behind us at the horizon, but we were save at home.
The orientation was thanks to the topographic map easy. I could walk directly to the small pond. All in all our tour was 14 km. I wanted to walk 8 or more, but less then 20 km. And I'm looking forward to the next hiking trips. Next I will try to make the serious improvement to the backpack from Pepe. I can't imagine to go on a hiking tour without it.
So smart to take your lunch, and for Pepe to carry it. Anytime we come to a puddle deep enough, my happy fool loves to paw & splash until we are both quite wet; I could stop him, but so long as it's warm enough to dry off afterwards, I let him have his fun.
ReplyDeleteI also thought about drying off, especially when the wet snow started. But they are all healthy and happy.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm really not smart when it comes to food, but I try as hard as I can ... and fail a lot! At least I know about it
