Bilder des Tages / Pictures of the day

This morning I wanted to walk a bigger route. Actually I know that in this particular part of the forest there are a lot of mosquitoes. But it was kind of fresh this morning and I hoped ... Wrong, very wrong we came in a kind of mosquito attack and we just wanted out of this place. I don't wanted to just turn around so we came out of a forest on a different spot and hat to walk by a very big and busy street. Oh argh ... When we were at a save place I let them graze, that is relaxing for them and for me. I like to watch which herb or grass they choose and there is never so much to choose as on a wayside. I phoned with Alexander and he said: Put up your head and look where you are: Enjoy! That's what I did ...

Offensichtlich wurde ich beobachtet.
Obviously I was watched.

The cows are fascinating and I would like to make photos from every single one and describe them. Honestly I would like to make a Blog about them. On one place there are the calves and sometime they are on this big meadow as a cow. There are also two bulls I know from very little. Now there are quite big and more or less every day they great us or moo quite enthusiastically behind us. I don't have a Clou if they do this for every passing horse.

And here I caught Moritz while connecting and evidently having a conversation with an other species.

Comments

  1. Moritz was probably daydreaming about jumping the fence and running the legs off those buggers.
Oh wait, that would be my Padre who would do such a thing.
I know about the biting bugs - UGH! We went for a ride through our own trail system the other day and it seemed we were followed by swarms of biters. Padre was VERY annoyed. Since then, Mr Shoes has taken the brush mower out to the trail system; hopefully cutting the greenery on the trails will mean less bugs.... probably wishful thinking. But at least we have gotten the trails cleared for the year.

  2. Sometimes when they walk with us along the fence they jump and buck. They are also galloping from far away to 'great' us. So strange creatures and in a way fascinating beautiful.
What I also would like to do: Visit with Pepe and explore 'your own trail system'. Your world is so different!
